Hello again,
Over the next few weeks, as my blog takes shape, you will start to notice that I'm quite a big fan of EDC (EveryDayCarry). Knives, torches, tools and various other toys and gadgets. I know that EDC is a huge community and you only have to head over to Instagram to see that, you could even look at some of my own collection while you're over there. I'm curious to find out what your favourite shops are to get your EDC toys and tools, or do you shop online?
The World Wide Web is a place nowadays where you can literally press a button and have your parcel delivered within an hour by a drone of all things! Whatever happened to putting your coat on and catching the bus into town. I suppose this would work if you are going out to buy a new pair of shoes or a Cornish pasty but those collectors shops are annoyingly a little harder to find, especially the ones without all the cheap rubbish!
Fear no more! I have found a solution that means you can find your favourite collectable items without having to search through all the junk. The solution is called Fantasia of Leeds and if you're from West Yorkshire (Yorkshire! Yorkshire! Yorkshire!) I imagine you have heard of it or know somebody that has. Fantasia has been in Leeds city centre for a good few years now and although the shop may be small, the collection is vast. I dread to think over the years how much money i have spent at Fantasia but then again i do love my collection and i just can't stop going back, despite the fact that i live 20 miles away. The staff are friendly and incredibly helpful and if they don't know something about a product, its probably not worth knowing. You could quite easily go in on a Saturday lunchtime, people shoulder to shoulder, and the staff will make you feel like you have a personal shopper! With over 25,000 likes on social media and almost 500 5 star reviews on Facebook alone the collectables sold here are not made out of an old wheeley bin or the dash of a Micra, they are high quality products that will not break on you as soon as they come out of the box.
So next time you're sat at your computer searching for a new sword, lighter, airsoft gun, axe, katana, bat, replica, smoking box....I could go on but you get the picture, Head over to Ludgate Hill in Leeds or visit Fantasia of Leeds on Facebook, if you can't find what you're looking for, message them and see what they can do. Maybe I will see you there sometime because I need some new toys!
Comment with your favourite shops or online pages to get your kit
Thanks for reading
